There have been recent claims that London Councils is trying to change or scrap the benefits enjoyed by the capital’s older and disabled people through the Freedom Pass. We want to assure you that this is not the case.
London Councils is fully committed to the Freedom Pass and have absolutely no intention of making any changes to it. Please see the links below for further information.

The freedom pass is the 'travel permit' for the purposes of the GLA 1999 Act and the Concessionary Bus Travel Act 2007.
The scheme is managed by London Councils on behalf of all the London boroughs.
