Once you become eligible for a Older Person's Freedom Pass you are no longer eligible for a 60+ Oyster card.
You will need to Apply for Older Person's Freedom Pass.
You can apply for your Older Person’s Freedom Pass up to two weeks before you become eligible.

Since June 2026, holders of the 60+ Oyster card approaching Freedom Pass eligibility need to make a Freedom Pass application rather than being transferred automatically. Transport for London is no longer able to provide the customer data previously used to support the semi-automated transfer process.
