Transferring your 60+ Oyster pass to a Freedom Pass

Find out about the process of transferring from 60+ Oyster pass to Freedom Pass

Once you become eligible for a Older Person's Freedom Pass you are no longer eligible for a 60+ Oyster card.

When you applied for 60+ Oyster, you had the option to opt out of TfL sharing your data with London Councils Freedom Pass.

If you DIDN'T opt out:

  1. You will be sent a letter from London Councils, who run the Freedom Pass scheme, who will ask you to confirm your details are correct.
  2. To confirm your details are correct, complete the Transfer to Freedom Pass online registration.
  3. Once you've completed this form and created an online account, you will be sent a new Freedom Pass.

You do not need to re-apply or send a new photograph.

If you DID opt out
or
you have changed address since you applied for 60+ Oyster:

You will need to Apply for Older person's Freedom Pass

Please check the eligibility and the documents you need before applying.

Not sure if you opted in or out?
